Anonymous asked: Random question but what's your opinion on a Jellal vs Laxus fight? Who do you think would win?
Laxus x Jellal BROTP *_* I need it in my life
& god this is such a difficult question.
I don’t know who would win lol. In my opinion, I think they’re equally matched. They’re both extremely strong and powerful mages that possess great mastery over their magics. Both of them are wizard saint material. So I honestly don’t know.
Though, I still feel like we haven’t seen Jellal go all out because Hiro’s trying to maintain some kind of mystery over him. He doesn’t have as many feats as Laxus but we don’t often get to see him, so who’s to say that Laxus is stronger? We’ve seen a handful of his magical abilities. There may be MORE, we never know. He proves to be skillful in each of them especially his main magic, Heavenly Body, and True Heavenly Body Magic.
Now that being said, I’m not saying that Laxus is weaker. Dude’s a huge monster when it comes to battles. Like I stated before, I think they’re equally matched as of right now. He’s fucking amazing and badass, well BOTH of them are amazing and badass. He has recognizable fights that are hard to ignore.
Many people like to compare them this way: When 19 year old Jellal fought Natsu in the ToH arc, he appeared unscathed until Natsu went into dragon force, which is according to Zero, the most powerful stage of a dragon slayer. When 23 yr old Laxus fought Natsu in the Fighting Festival arc, it was easy for him to overpower Natsu in the beginning, but then Gajeel showed up. Yet he still didn’t appear damaged when they used all those dragon slayer moves on him. It wasn’t until after his failed Fairy Law, after almost all of his magical power was used up, that he started to lose. In the end he was defeated by Natsu. Then we have Jura vs Jellal. Of course he couldn’t use mystogan’s magic to win, so he started to use his own. Then Ultear and Meredy interrupted the match before he could cast Sema on him. He could have defeated Jura that way. In the match, he wasn’t holding back, but ‘holding back’ doesn’t mean the same thing as ‘going all out’. In the Laxus vs Jura match, Laxus went all out in that fight. Jura proved to be a worthy opponent and Laxus still managed to win those points for his team.
Overall, I don’t exactly know if one is stronger or weaker than the other. If they were ever to fight against each other, that would be the greatest duel ever and I would be surprised at the result.
